The more I look at pictures of cottage houses, the more I'm drawn to their sense and simplicity. I really don't want to live in a huge house. I just want my home to be me, to embody my own true character. No grandeur whatsoever, just sheer function and comfort. I just want to be in a place where I will be most a peace with nature and myself. A house like this will allow me to express my most inner self longings with a touch of romance and a whole lot of creativity. I want my house to have a prolific garden with colorful flowers with scintillating scents that are just inviting. Plus, the idea of collecting vintage furniture from an attic or antique shop is so much fun. I would put up floral curtains in different shades and hues making it so cozy, everyone would feel welcomed.
Ever since I first saw a cottage house in one of the Oprah Magazine's Breathing Space and the one and only night I stayed in a cottage house with a convenient fireplace in Baguio, I'm counting the days until I can finally afford one.
Faraway, near a lake, fantasy land.
Hey, everyone's free to dream, right?
