One of the Searchers

She is one of the searchers. There are, I believe, millions like her. She's not running fast, she keeps a constant speed. Not because she's tired, well partly, but mainly because she's scared to what she would find pretty soon. Yes, this search is frightening to her but she's opening up anyway. She's destroying the barriers she built. She's doing this in pursuit of happiness. She is not unhappy, but neither is she really content. She continues to explore life, hoping to uncover its ultimate secret. She continue to explore herself, hoping to understand. She likes to walk along the beach, she is  drawn by the ocean, taken by its power, its unceasing motion, its mystery and unspeakable beauty. She likes forests and mountains, hidden rivers and lakes, far distant places, and the lonely cities as well. Her sadness is as much a part of her life as is her laughter. To share her sadness with the one she love is perhaps as great a joy as she will ever know - unless it be to share her laughter. This girl, the searcher, is ambitious not only for life itself, for everything beautiful it can provide. Most of all she loves and wants to be loved. She wants to live in a relationship that will not impede her  wandering, nor prevent her search, nor lock her in prison walls; that will take her for what little she has to give. She does not want to prove herself to another or compete for love. She's just real. She's just searching for that one sweet love.
