Things Learned in College

Really?

1) Sleep is a luxury.

2) Caffeine is true and loyal friend.

3) Lucky Me Instant Noodles and 555 sardines are major food groups.

4) The future is NEVER guaranteed.

5) Grades are a meaningless form of personal worth.

6) Teachers are people too. Others are lazy, others will inspire you.

7) I know the computer’s screen better than I know some of my classmates faces.

8) Never mind having a hearty recess when you only have 20 php in your purse. Rather, text your mom to send you some cash through M Luhiller so that you won't malfunction while running errands.

9) A B.A. is worthless.

10) Sanity is relative to the individual - your breaking point doesn’t necessarily translate to another person’s.

11) Anything that states "Want a Part-Time Job?" is worth a day of decision making.

12) 4:30 am doesn’t seem that late or too early anymore.

13) You can have long, heartfelt conversations with a plant, or a mirror in your room.

14) You can sleep at the library and never leave during exam period.

15) You can find pretty much ANY excuse to procrastinate.

16) You are pressured by your parent's expectation's of you.

17) Just because a school is prestigious does NOT mean its quality of education is proportional.

18) Your true friends are the ones who realize that it’s not personal if they don’t hear from you for 2-3 months, and still love you nonetheless.

19) You can go to the same school as your best friend and never see her/him unless your schedule’s match up or you have a class together.

20) You are not a person, you are a student. Therefore you don't have the right to complain.

21) You are completely on your own. You won't be recognized as a Dean's Lister if you won't apply for "recognition".

22) You can be great friends with a nymphomaniac, but guard yourself from influence.

23) Sometimes getting ahead is based upon how much you are willing to sacrifice/jump through hoops.

24) College is a land of reading. Also, land of photocopying and note-taking.

25) A room full of carpe diem and motivational quotes will help you go over that pesky reading assignment in Panitikan class.

26) You think you know something, but you really don't not know anything. So shut up. =(
